Veterans Affairs events: A veteran's family night out basketball game at UVI will take place Nov. 27.

Charlotte Amalie High School: Charlotte Amalie High School will hold an open house from 1 to 3:10 p.m. Tuesday. Report cards will be distributed to parents and parents will have the opportunity to discuss the progress of students with teachers.

Daughters of the Nile Thanksgiving dinner: The Daughters of the Nile Chapter No. 8 and Sons of Pharaoh Lodge No. 8 will serve Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the former Jarvis School Annex.

Caribe Tradewinds Lodge Thanksgiving dinner: The Caribe Tradewinds Lodge No. 589 and Pearls of the Virgin Islands No. 585 will host a Thanksgiving feast for the homeless and less fortunate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday on the Ulla F. Chorale Christmas concert: Caribbean Chorale will hold their 45th annual Christmas concert at 4 p.m. Nov. 25 at Wesley Methodist Church. Tickets are available for purchase from Nora's Beauty Palace, chorale members or at the door.

Water Island Christmas bazaar: Water Island's annual Christmas bazaar will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 at Honeymoon Beach. There will be crafts, artwork, jewelry, homemade baked goods, quilting projects, pet products and holiday items. Call Marion at 777-4257 for information.

Adult Literacy classes: The Resource Center for the Disabled holds free Adult Literacy classes to provide clients with literacy and GED preparation. The Resource Center for the Disabled is located behind the USO Building Across from Department of Finance. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. St. Croix movies at the fort: Fort Christiansvaern will show the movie "Elf" during a free family movie night at 7 p.m. Saturday at the fort. Parking will be available at the National Historic Parking Lot from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Chamber of Commerce: The next Business for Breakfast event will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Dec. 13 at The Palms at Pelican Cove. Concerns of crime in the community will be addressed. RSVP by noon on Dec. 12 by calling 514-2535.

Dream Group: The Dream Group is free and open to anyone who would like help in manifesting their dreams. Meetings are held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays at The Sanctuary in downtown Christiansted. For information and directions, call 513-9555.

Women's Coalition of St. Croix: Donations of gently used clothes, shoes, yoga mats, household items and furniture are in need. Drop them off at Closet to Closet, 15 Peter's Rest, Christiansted, the crisis center at 45 Fisher Street, Christiansted, or the Children's Center at 13 AB King Cross Street in Christiansted.

- Volunteers needed at Closet to Closet thrift shop. Come on Volunteer Mondays to see what we are all about. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- The coalition offers parenting classes in English and Spanish.

Amateur Radio Club: The St. Croix Amateur Radio Club meets on the first Saturday of each month at The Deep End Restaurant.
