Boy Scout Week activities
The Boy Scouts of America will celebrate 102 years in America and 82 years in the U.S. Virgin Islands from Sunday through Feb. 12. The events planned in St. Thomas-St. John District include:
- Feb. 5: All Scouts attend 10 a.m. Mass at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
- Feb. 6: Flag raising ceremony in schools, conducted by youth.
- Feb. 7: Free day for units to hold their own activities.
- Feb. 8: Re-dedication ceremonies for leaders (this is the actual BSA birthday).
- Feb. 10: Free day (Man Up event at UVI).
- Feb. 11: Sports Day at UVI from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- Feb. 12: Annual Youth Parade at 3 p.m. from Cancryn Junior High School. Participants assemble at 2 p.m. A short program follows in Emancipation Garden.
