Cyril Benjamin II
Cyril A. Benjamin II, a junior at the St. Thomas-St. John Seventh-day Adventist School, has been nominated for Who's Who Among All-American Scholars for 2009-2010 school year by the U.S. Achievement Academy.
His personalized biography and picture will be published in the 2010 United States Achievement Academy Yearbook.
Representing all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, the USAA mission is to recognize excellence in American's outstanding students in colleges and secondary schools. This non-profit foundation helps sixth to 12-th graders with educational cash grants that help cover rising cots of tuition and expenses they face while attending college or a university.

Cyril's parents are Cyril A. Benjamin and Arlene L. Pinney-Benjamin. His grandparents are James and Melvina Pinney, Sylvia McClean and the late Cyril A. Benjamin, Sr.
Emmanuel Horsford
The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands learned of the continued success and accomplishments of one of their former CFVI Junior Angels, Emmanuel Horsford, a 2009 graduate of Ivanna Eudora Kean High School.
Dennison University in Granville, Ohio, announced that junior Rob Moore and sophomore Emmanuel "Manny" Horsford won the election for DCGA president and vice president, respectively. Nine hundred and sixty Denison students voted in the election.
Horsford, an economics major, won by 82 percent.
Horsford is a senator for the class of 2013, and he served on the Academics Committee.
He also has experience serving on the Committee on Residential Life.
He will serve as the new chair of the Residential Life Committee as part of his position.
Matthew Slodden
Matthew Slodden of St. Thomas made the High Honors Honor Roll for the first quarter of the 2010-11 academic year at the Williston Northampton School in Pioneer Valley, Mass.
Students earning high honors are required to earn a grade point average of 92. Students earning honors are required to earn a grade point average of 87.
He is a 12th-grader.
The Williston Northampton School is a coeducational boarding and day school for students in seventh grade through post-graduate year. The 125-acre campus offers a challenging learning environment with a rich academic curriculum, leadership opportunities, and a full range of extra-curricular activities in the arts and athletics.
