Perched high on the north side of St. Peter Mountain, Tree Limin' Extreme has opened and is sending people speeding down a system of zip lines overlooking Magens Bay, St. John and the BVI.
Manager Drew Bowers said the territory's newest tourist attraction is in the midst of a "soft opening" period, during which his trained staff will hone their skills sending groups of fun-seekers hurtling through the treetops.
Discounted rates will be in effect during the soft opening period, and Tree Limin' Extreme plans a grand opening sometime in early August, Bowers said.
The zip line tour comprises six different runs on cables from base to base. The lines zig-zag back and forth across the top of St. Peter Mountain, offering breath-taking views across the northside and breath-snatching thrills while careening down the cables.
The new attraction is located on St. Peter Mountain Road, across from the St. Peter Greathouse. For more information or to make reservations for Tree Limin' Express, call 642-9477.
