In observance of National Public Lands Day, Virgin Islands National Park Service will waive user fees today at Trunk Bay on St. John.

The intent of the "Fee Free" declaration is to encourage people to enjoy and learn more about the stewardship of national parks and other federal lands free of charge, according to a statement issued by the National Park Service.

Trunk Bay is one of the most visited beaches on St. John, and is home to an underwater trail, which is marked by plaques that identify coral and fish along the trail.
