V.I. Taxicab Commission has new office on St. Croix
Beginning today, the V.I. Taxicab Commission's office on St. Croix will be at 3274 Richmond, in the V.I. Property and Procurement Department building east of Charles Harwood Hospital.
The new telephone number is 773-1561 ext. 5235.
"We have been cross-training personnel and streamlining operations to better serve the needs of the public," Taxicab Commissioner Judith Wheatley said in a statement issued Wednesday. "As part of this effort, we are relocating our St. Croix offices to an area that is also more convenient to industry operators."
Public Defenders Office to close for staff training
The Office of the Public Defender in both districts will be closed Friday for staff training. Residents who need to contact their public defender prior to Friday can call the office on St. Croix at 773-6312 or the office in the St. Thomas-St. John District at 774-8181.
