ST. THOMAS - V.I. educator Ulla Muller died Monday.

She was 97 years old and still an active part of the St. Thomas elementary school that bears her name.

"It is very difficult for us to learn of the passing of our matriarch," Muller Elementary School Principal Symra Dee Brown said. "We are just blessed that we have been able to spend time with her and were able to recently celebrate her legacy and all that she has given us. We will truly miss her, but we are thankful to have been touched by her kindness, her love and continued generosity over the years."
