Tuesday - Last day in which nomination petitions/papers may be filed (5 p.m.).
Aug. 19 - Deadline for withdrawal of nominated candidates.
Aug. 21 - Casting of lots for position of names on primary ballot; deadline for receipt of applications for absentee ballots for primary election.
Aug. 23 - Certification of nominees by the Supervisor of Elections; notice of primary election due.
Aug. 24 - Last day for examination of voting machines.
Aug. 29 - Testing of electronic voting machines and tabulating equipment, certification by boards (open to public).
Sept. 3 - First day to receive application for absentee ballots for General Election.
Sept. 8 - Primary election.
Sept. 10 - Casting of lots for position of names on official election ballot.
Sept. 18 - Last day absentee ballots received by Elections will be counted for primary election.
Sept. 22 - All federal ballots mailed out to military and overseas personnel.
Oct. 7 - First day for examination of voting machines; last day for voter registration.
Oct. 17 - Appointment of election officers.
Oct. 26 - Deadline for receipt of absentee ballots for General Election.
Oct. 27 - Last day for examination of voting machines; testing of electronic voting machines and tabulating equipment, certification by boards (open to public).
Nov. 6 - Election Day.
Nov. 16 - Last day absentee ballots received by Elections will be counted for General Election.
Nov. 20 - Run-off Election Day.
