ST. CROIX - Thousands thronged to Agrifest 2013 in Estate Lower Love on Saturday.

They came for many reasons, including the fresh produce, the farm animals, the food and the family-friendly good time.

Tantalizing aromas of fresh local dishes, tables laden with fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts and animals ranging from guinea pigs and bunnies to gigantic bulls were just part of the draw.

There was quadrille dancing.

There were interactive exhibits.

There was information on all sorts of things, from healthy lifestyles to solar energy.

Always, there was entertainment - from steel pan bands to quelbe music and a traditional marching band.

And there was food - lots and lots of food.
