ST. THOMAS - Ahjahra Francis, who is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 20-year-old Ashsha Isaac on on Nov. 3, 2004, is scheduled to appear for a pre-trial hearing before V.I. Superior Court Judge Adam Christian on Friday.
The shooting erupted about 2 a.m. in Oswald Harris Court housing community.
Francis also is charged with using an unlicensed firearm while committing a violent crime and possession of unlawful ammunition.

A witness identified Francis as the gunman, according to an affidavit filed by V.I. Police Detective Mario Stout.
The witness saw Francis and Isaac, both of the housing community, standing between buildings 40 and 41 the night of the murder, according to the affidavit.
From a window, the witness watched Francis and Isaac, Stout wrote.

As Isaac dropped, Francis fired more shots, Stout wrote.
Francis began to walk away, turned back and opened fire again, the witness told police.
A coroner's report revealed that Isaac suffered five gunshot wounds to the head and face.
