Bail set at $75,000 for St. John bank robbery suspect

ST. THOMAS - A woman who police said robbed FirstBank in Cruz Bay, St. John, then took the stolen money and threw it up in the air outside made her initial court appearance Wednesday.
Heather Turfley, 36, appeared before Magistrate Judge Kathleen Mackay and was advised of her rights on charges of first-degree robbery and possession of stolen property.
Mackay set bail for Turfley, who police said is from Nevada and may be homeless, at $75,000.
