Brewer, Falcons defeat Coasters in Senthill Softball League

ST. THOMAS - Timothy Brewer hit a two-run homer in the third inning and drove in four runs on 2 for 3 batting to lead the Falcons past the Coasters, 13-7, in Donald O. Senthill Modified-pitch Softball League play on Tuesday.
Vernon Jones, winning pitcher Michael Davis, Rashawn Murraine and Kemo Simeon each went 2 for 4 at the plate for the Falcons, who had 13 hits and five errors in the game. Jones also drove two runs.
Losing pitcher Marlon Richardson was the Coasters' top batter, going 2 for 4 at the plate with two RBIs, including a solo homer in the first inning. Keith LaMotta also homered in the first inning, driving in two runs. The Coasters had nine hits and four errors.
Toro 11, Vybes 1
Toro's Franklin Mercado hit for the cycle, going 4 for 4 at the plate and driving in three runs in his team's 11-1 victory.
Claudio Martinez added a 3 for 3 performance with four RBIs for Toro, followed by Joel Martinez, who went 2 for 2. The team totalled 18 hits while committing only one error.
Roberto Bernardo was the winning pitcher, while Sheldon Turnbull took the loss for the Vybes, who had six hits and no errors.
Susthens Vialet Modified-pitch League
Oilers 18, Roughnecks 11
The Oilers jumped out to a 15-2 lead after two inning of play and held on for a seven-run win on Sunday in the Susthens Vialet Modified-pitch Softball League at Emile Griffith Ballpark on St. Thomas.
Carlos Johnson drove in four runs for the Oilers on 3 for 4 batting, followed by Michael Martin at 3 for 4 and three RBIs, Cyril Battiste Jr. at 2 for 2 and 2 RBIs, and winning pitcher Roberto Bernardo at 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Overall, the Oilers had 18 hits and two errors.
Roger Browne was the Roughnecks' top batter at 4 for 4 with two RBIs, followed by Steve Parris at 3 for 4 with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. The Roughnecks totalled 14 hits and four errors.
Jerald Gooding was the losing pitcher.
Ambassadors 16, Movements 6
Winning pitcher Franklin Sewer helped keep the Movements at bay while going 2 for 3 at the plate himself in their victory.
Neville Lewis led the Ambassadors with four hits in four appearances with four RBIs, followed by Ernest Joseph at 3 for 3 with an RBI.
Glenn Francis was the Movements' top batter at 3 for 3 with an RBI. The team totalled 11 hits and committed four errors, while the Ambassadors had 15 hits and two errors.
Alvin Browne was the losing pitcher.
Brothers 10, Bapos 7
Parker Drew got the Brothers off to a fast start, hitting a key three-run homer in their four-run first inning as they held on for the win.
Drew had five RBIs in the game, followed by Ashton Frett at 2 for 2 and an RBI as the team had 14 hits and an error, while the Bapos had 10 hits and an error.
Michael Thomas, Ivan Williams, Dexter Freeman and losing pitcher Christopher Berry each had two hits for the Bapos. Williams and Freeman drove in two runs apiece.
Leon Daniel got the win in the pitcher's circle.
