Homelessness forum to be held at UVI

Downtown Revitalization, Inc. will host a Forum on Homelessness from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 27 and is inviting service providers to showcase their programs.

The public also is invited to attend the forum and express ideas, join resources, share recognition and otherwise redouble their commitment to St. Thomas' homeless population. Addressing homelessness is a critical element of revitalizing downtown, and DRI's goal is to assist homeless service providers as they assist the most vulnerable, long-term homeless individuals and families to attain permanent, supportive housing.

The forum will take place at the University of the Virgin Islands Administration Building Conference Center.

The deadline for presenter registration is Sept. 15.

For more information or to register as a presenter at the forum, contact Shelley Williams at 775-1255 or coast_vi@yahoo.com.
