ST. CROIX - Two Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility detainees have been arrested in connection with two separate assaults inside the prison.
Major Lee Womack, 23, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. Thursday and charged with aggravated assault and battery. His charges stem from an assault reported on April 26, in which Corrections officials said he assaulted another person.
In May, Womack was charged with aggravated assault and battery of a law enforcement officer in an incident at the prison.
N'Kosi Parris, 21, also was arrested at 11:40 a.m. Thursday and charged with aggravated assault and battery. His charge stems from an incident reported Feb. 7 in which authorities said he punched a Corrections officer in the mouth with his closed fist.
Parris, of Wheel of Fortune previously was arrested in March 2011 in connection with a robbery turned homicide at Two Brothers Meat Market in Frederiksted.
Both men were arrested on warrants issued by Magistrate Miguel Camacho. Bail for each was set at $1,000. They remain jailed and are expected to be advised of their rights at 9 a.m. today.
