Feds boost funding for V.I. broadband

ST. THOMAS - The V.I. Next Generation Network board met Thursday to approve two contracts and get an update on the territory's broadband expansion project.
V.I. Next Generation Network President and Chief Executive Officer Lawrence Kupfer said the project is on track.
The $117 million broadband expansion project is funded by four federal stimulus grants plus a local match of $32 million.
