High utility costs force iconic St. Thomas Dairies to close doors for good

ST. THOMAS - St. Thomas is losing its iconic North Side dairy.
V.I. Labor Commissioner Albert Bryan Jr. received official notification on Thursday that Trans-Caribbean Dairy Corp., better known as St. Thomas Dairies, will cease operations effective today.
The notice confirmed that 28 employees will be terminated, while some staff will remain working for an additional week, according to a statement issued Thursday by Government House.
