Junior high, middle school students gearing up for MathCounts

ST. CROIX - Junior high and middle school mathletes from across the territory will compete today for the top spots in each district for the 2013 MathCounts competitions.

St. Thomas and St. John schools will compete beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the University of the Virgin Islands Administration and Conference Center in the district competition of the national MathCounts program.

V.I. Education spokeswoman Ananta Pancham said six schools and 53 students will be competing in the St. Thomas-St. John District representing Addelita Cancryn, All Saints, Antilles, Bertha C. Boschulte, V.I. Montessori School and International Academy and Ss. Peter and Paul.
