Legislature to begin budget hearings today

ST. THOMAS - Fiscal Year 2013 Budget hearings start today in the Senate Finance Committee, and for the next two months, senators will grill government officials on how they plan to spend the taxpayers' money.
Gov. John deJongh Jr. sent down his FY 2013 budget proposal one week ago for the Senate's consideration.
