Man killed, girl injured in Tutu shooting Tuesday

ST. THOMAS - Police are investigating the fatal shooting Tuesday night of a 26-year-old man in the Tutu Hi-Rise housing community.

Police found Kenroy Davis unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his body in the vicinity of Building 14 just before 9:30 p.m.

Police located Davis and a minor female victim with a gunshot injury on her lower back in the parking lot.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Schneider Hospital for treatment.

Officers investigating the crime said Davis may have been involved in an altercation prior to being shot, police said.

Davis' death was the 11th homicide - including two vehicular homicides - in the territory this year.

Major Crime Detectives are asking for the community's assistance in providing information regarding the shooting.

Police said all information will be kept in the strictest confidence.
