ST. CROIX - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in William's Delight late Wednesday that killed a 25-year-old man.

St. Croix Police Chief James Parris on Thursday did not release the victim's name, saying his next of kin had not yet been notified. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds, Parris said.

The call about shots fired in William's Delight came in to 911 emergency dispatchers about 11:51 p.m. Wednesday.

Parris said the man was found outside a residence.

"Apparently, someone accosted him," Parris said.

He declined to release further details, saying the crime is still being investigated.
