ST. THOMAS - A shooting near Lindbergh Bay sent one man to the hospital during the Labor Day weekend.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating the shooting, which occurred about 10:45 a.m. Monday, according to police.
Emergency responders from Schneider Hospital transported the man from the Lindbergh Bay area, according to an online incident report from the V.I. Territorial Emergency Management Agency.
After the man was admitted to the hospital, he told police that he had been in his car when another man shot him several times.
The victim was unable to provide any further information to police because of his injuries, according to a report released late Tuesday afternoon by V.I. Police spokeswoman Melody Rames.
The man was shot several times, Rames said, though she did not know how many times the man had been shot, nor where the shooter had been when he shot at the victim.
