Missing St. Thomas boy found, reunited with family after more than 24 hours

ST. THOMAS - After missing for more than 24 hours, a 9-year-old St. Thomas boy was found in good health and returned to his family on Wednesday.
Police have released little information about where Tenaji Wheatley was or how he was found.
Late Tuesday night, the V.I. Police Department released a statement asking for the public's assistance is locating Tenaji.
Police said he was staying at a residence in Estate Fortuna when he went missing about 11 a.m. Tuesday.
A description of the boy and the clothing he was wearing were given, along with phone numbers to call if he was spotted.
Just after noon on Wednesday, V.I. Alert sent out a mass message asking people to look for the boy.
Many people were sharing information about the search for the missing boy on social media sites as well.
Tenaji was found and returned to his family about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to V.I. Police spokeswoman Melody Rames.
"Detectives said the minor appeared in good health. Police are continuing the investigation in an attempt to ascertain where the minor was and who he was with between the time he was reported missing and when he was found," Rames said.
