Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered in collision

ST. CROIX - A motorcyclist died from his injuries after a collision with a sport utility vehicle Tuesday evening in Estate Glynn.

In a prepared statement, police identified the motorcyclist as Armando Edison, 36.

The accident occurred about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.

Officers arriving at the accident found a man unresponsive in the roadway, and the man was taken by ambulance to Luis Hospital, according to the statement.

Initial information from police indicates that the driver of a Nissan Pathfinder was traveling south in Estate Glynn and was making a right turn when the collision occurred.

Several hours later, police were notified that Edison had died from his injuries.

The Traffic Investigation Bureau is investigating.
