Murder suspect makes court appearance

ST. THOMAS - A man charged with murder after he was arrested trying to board a plane to the U.S. mainland made his initial court appearance on Monday.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested Dyhani Heyliger, 23, Friday as he tried to make a flight to Florida at King Airport.
Heyliger was advised of his rights by V.I. Superior Court Judge Adam Christian on charges of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, third-degree assault, reckless endangerment and three counts of possession of a deadly weapon.
