ST. THOMAS - The chief financial officer for Schneider Hospital said Thursday that a $1.2 million line of credit the hospital is seeking to cover potential payroll shortfalls is only a precaution and the financially challenged facility is not anticipating problems paying its employees.
CFO Eugene Welsh said during the hospital's board meeting Wednesday night that the hospital is in the process of trying to secure the credit line.
