ST. THOMAS - Two men in their 20s were sentenced Friday to spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

Jevern Phillip, 25, and Maliek Ostalaza, 22, each were found guilty in May on first-degree murder charges related to the 2010 slaying of 26-year-old Kevin James.

V.I. Superior Court Judge James Carroll III sentenced them both to life in prison without parole on these charges, the only penalty available under the V.I. Code.
