ST. THOMAS - The St. Thomas community has banded together to honor the memory of Pamela Langevin with a fundraising gala to support Pistarckle Theater.
Langevin, 50, died in a diving accident March 23 on Grand Cayman, where she and her husband Marc Langevin relocated last year. Marc Langevin was the previous general manager of the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas and past president of the U.S.V.I. Hotel and Tourism Association.
They have a 10-year-old daughter, Lilly.
The family lived on St. Thomas for almost five years and was an integral part of the local community.
Pamela Langevin was a classically trained ballet dancer who taught dance at Ivanna Eudora Kean High School and V.I. Montessori School and International Academy. She also choreographed and performed in many Pistarckle Theater productions.
"Our hearts go out to Marc and Lilly. We feel the gala benefiting Pistarckle Theater is a wonderful way to honor her memory," Hotel and Tourism Association Chairwoman Trudie Prior said.
The gala to celebrate Pamela Langevin's life is hosted by the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas and will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Great Bay Ballroom and Terrace. Attire is Caribbean formal. Tickets are $135 per person and include a dinner and reception. All proceeds will go to Pistarckle Theater.
The Hotel and Tourism Association will conduct a silent auction as well.
