ST. CROIX - Police have released information about an arson reported just after 11 p.m. Sunday.
V.I. Police spokeswoman Melody Rames said Tuesday that police were called, along with the V.I. Fire Service and emergency medical technicians, at 11:07 p.m. Sunday night to a reported car fire in the Aureo Diaz housing community.
She said that when officers arrived, they found a red Ford pickup truck on fire.
Firefighters on the scene said the fire appeared to have been intentionally set, Rames said.

The case has been classified as a second-degree arson and is under investigation by the Police Department's Criminal Investigation Unit and by the Fire Service's Fire Prevention and Arson Investigation Unit.
