St. Thomas

Charged: simple assault

Jamie Profeta, 27, of Altona, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Saturday on a charge of simple assault. Bail was set at $1,000.

Charged: third-degree assault

Leshawn Kelly, 31, of Frydendal, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Sunday and charged with third-degree assault. Police said he hit a woman. No bail was set.

Charged: aggravated assault and battery

Juan Ovalle, 26, was arrested at 5:04 a.m. Monday and charged with aggravated assault and battery. Police said he beat a woman on her arm during an altercation. No bail was set.

Charged: third-degree burglary

Tristan Joseph, 19, was arrested at 8 a.m. Monday on a charge of third-degree burglary. Police said he broke into the Tropical Marine store and stole electronic equipment. Bail was set at $25,000.

Charged: driving under the influence

Matthew Morse, 26, of Estate Bethany was arrested at 5 a.m. on Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. Bail was set at $500.

St. Croix

Charged: First-degree aggravated rape

Eugene Stevenson, 29, of Harbour View Apartments, was arrested at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant signed by Magistrate Judge Miguel Camacho charging him with first-degree aggravated rape, stemming from an incident at his apartment on Oct. 31, 2009. Bail was set at $100,000.

Charged: possession of drug paraphernalia

Ricardo Velasquez, 36, of Estate Glynn, was arrested at 9:37 a.m. Tuesday on King Street in the vicinity of Western Suburb and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,000.

Charged: driving without a license

Dones Felix Acosta, 33, of Enfield Green, was arrested at 9:37 a.m. Tuesday on King Street in the vicinity of Western Suburb and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license. Bail was set at $1,000.
