Police seek teenage runaway

ST. THOMAS - Police on St. Thomas are looking for a 14-year-old boy who ran away while attending Addelita Cancryn Junior High School and last was seen on June 13.

Police said Taharaq Wade has been seen a number of times since then in the Oswald Harris Court and Paul M. Pearson Gardens housing communities, as well as in the area of First Avenue in Sugar Estate, Thomasville and the Boulevard.

He has a dark brown complexion and short black hair, is 4 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 75 pounds.

Anyone who has seen Wade can call detectives at 715-5542 or 911 or call the anonymous tip line at CrimeStoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.

Anyone found harboring or assisting Wade to evade police can face criminal charges.
