ST. THOMAS - After almost three years investigating ciguatera poisoning in the Virgin Islands, researchers have found that high levels of toxicity are found on the reefs, but the number of poisonings in local residents has declined.
"What's beginning to emerge is a rather interesting picture of ciguatera in the Virgin Islands," Director of Emerging Pathogens Institute at the University of Florida principal investigator Dr. Glenn Morris said at a UVI presentation Friday.
