After more than a month of events and activities, the Crucian Christmas Festival climaxed last weekend with the Festival parades, and the winners in each category were released on Tuesday.

The most coveted among the titles up for grabs was that of the Festival Road March Champion, which was captured for a fourth consecutive year by Fusion Band, with their hit "We Wan Jam."

The Road March is determined based on the number of times a song was used by troupes as they perform in front of the judges at the reviewing stand during the parade.

The theme for this year's Festival was "Live the Dream, Music, Mas and History - Crucian Christmas Festival 60th Anniversary." As the community celebrated the Festival's diamond anniversary, the emphasis was to make all of the events bigger and better than years before, which by many reviews was accomplished.

Festival started Dec. 8 with a mini-Festival at Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged, and during the next four weeks, residents and visitors were able to enjoy events that included a night-time parade, a mini-Village at Canegata Ball Park, the Princess and Duchess Show, the Miss St. Croix Pageant, Soup du Cure, a mini-Village in Mon Bijou, the Calypso Eliminations and the opening of the Festival Village with nightly entertainment, j'ouvert, the food fair, the calypso finals and the big parades.

The festival wrapped up with fireworks Sunday night.
