ST. THOMAS - About 15 Schneider Hospital nurses organized outside of the hospital Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. to protest not receiving the same pay raises recently provided to Luis Hospital's registered nurses.
They held signs and stood along Alton Adams Sr. Drive until about 6 p.m., while motorists honked and cheered as they drove past.
The nurses claim that the implementation of raises by Luis Hospital violates an agreement with their union and the V.I. Health Department and the region's two hospitals in June.
