Soccer fields, botanical gardens leases approved during Legislature's session

ST. THOMAS - Senators approved two lease agreements, a zoning variance, two quit-claim deeds and two resolutions at Monday's session.
Soccer fields
A lease for 12.3 acres in Estate Upper Bethlehem was approved Monday for the construction of soccer fields on St. Croix.
The federation already has funding for the project, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association has promised $500,000 with the possibility of five additional allotments totalling $3 million to develop the fields and soccer programs in the territory.
