ST. CROIX - People who spoke at a public hearing about the V.I. Legislature's possible involvement in revising the draft V.I. constitution, said that the Senate had no authority to overstep those elected to draft the document.
The Fifth Constitutional Convention failed to pass a document that complies with federal laws and the U.S. Constitution. Six speakers turned out Friday night to discuss whether or not the Senate should allow the delegates to reconvene and do the work they were elected to do in 2007.
