Teen girl dies of gunshot

V.I. Police Department Major Crime detectives on St. Thomas are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl from Estate Anna’s Retreat.
Police responded to a 911 call about 9:20 p.m. Sunday and discovered the unresponsive girl and one gunshot wound to her body. The victim later was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The cause of death has not been determined pending further investigation, according to St. Thomas-
St. John Police Chief Rodney Querrard.
