Teen wounded in William's Delight shooting

ST. CROIX - Criminal Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident reported just before 11:30 a.m. Monday, in which a 17-year-old boy was injured.

V.I. Police spokeswoman Melody Rames said officers were dispatched to the housing community section of the William's Delight residential area to reports of shots fired and an injured person.

Officers found the injured teen suffering from a single gunshot wound to his upper body, according to Rames. Detectives are looking into the possibility that the injury may have been be self-inflicted, she said.
