ST. THOMAS - The Charles Wesley Turnbull Regional Library is scheduled to open at the end of March, but with limited hours and services due to a staffing shortage.

Territorial Director of Libraries, Ingrid Bough, said that the library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but a "skeleton crew" of 13 staff members transferred from the Enid Baa Library will not be enough to maintain coverage of all the collections and computer labs at all times. Volunteers may be used to staff the two computer labs until more five more employees are hired, she said.

"These positions are in our 2013 budget. However, in light of the recent announcement of the 5 percent cut and the hiring freeze, it is the anticipation that we will be able to proceed, but we are not sure," Bough said.
