ST. THOMAS - The V.I. Police Department and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force have struck a deal to expedite the sharing of DNA data in criminal cases.
"The ability to identify criminals through DNA evidence and to match DNA evidence across jurisdictions is an important step forward in preventing crime and apprehending criminals in the region, and as such, it is a vital tool for the U.S.V.I. Police Department," V.I. Police Commissioner Henry White Jr. said in emailed remarks.
