V.I. government retirees have until Friday to decide on insurance

V.I. government retirees will have one additional week of the health insurance open enrollment, according to a statement issued by the V.I. Personnel Division.

The new deadline for retirees to submit their health insurance open enrollment form is by 5 p.m. Friday.

The extension is to give the Government Employees Service Commission Health Insurance Board an opportunity to offer educational sessions about changes in insurance coverage and premiums.

The Health Insurance Board has scheduled a meeting for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the University of the Virgin Islands Administration and Conference Center, 1st Floor, Conference Room 142 on St. Thomas and on St. Croix at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall.
