ST. THOMAS - The V.I. Next Generation Network board voted Wednesday to cut back its own stipends and approved $13.4 million in construction contracts. It also approved the company's $11.1 million operating budget for Fiscal Year 2013.
Four contracts - two for St. Thomas and two for St. Croix - were approved Wednesday to do the trenching for the territory's broadband expansion project. The Request for Proposals was split up with the understanding that all the work would be done simultaneously.
