ST. CROIX - At the conclusion of the V.I. Police Department's twice-yearly drug eradication sweep of St. Croix last week, police said they had confiscated 1,036 marijuana plants that were uprooted from growing fields all over the island.
The eradication is made possible through aircraft and funds provided by the Virgin Islands National Guard Counter Drug Task Force, according to a statement issued by the Police Department.
