V.I. Police Officer Colvin Georges dies from gunshot wounds

ST. THOMAS - Grief shook the territory Saturday morning as residents learned that V.I. Police Officer Colvin Georges succumbed to injuries from a gunshot wound sustained in May in the line of duty.
"He was really suffering, but now he's at rest, he's at peace," Vanessa Bellot, a cousin of Georges, said in a phone message. "He doesn't have to suffer any more."
