WAPA OKs $30,000 lease to rent condo for its execs

ST. CROIX - The V.I. Water and Power Authority board on Thursday approved a $30,000 annual lease to rent a St. Croix condominium where senior management staff who travel between islands can spend the night as necessary.
Officials said that renting the two-bedroom condominium - at $2,500 per month - is more cost-effective than paying nightly hotel rates when St. Thomas-based managers have to overnight on St. Croix.
