ST. CROIX - Police are continuing to look for two men who raped a woman at gunpoint.
St. Croix Deputy Police Chief James Parris said Monday that emergency dispatchers received a call at 11:49 p.m. Friday from a woman in Estate Richmond who reported that she had been raped.
Based on the preliminary information to police, the woman said she was home alone when she heard a noise inside her home, according to Parris. She said she thought it was her friend, who had left, returning to the home so she was not startled at first. The woman told police she realized it was two men with guns, who then forced her into a room and raped her, then left the home, according to Parris.
The incident has been classified as a first-degree rape, Parris said.
As of Monday, no arrests had been made.
