Woman robbed after taking money out of Sunny Isle ATM

ST. CROIX - Police on St. Croix are investigating a robbery in which a woman was robbed of cash on Saturday.
V.I. Police spokeswoman Melody Rames said a woman reported to police that she had been robbed after leaving the ATM at the Sunny Isle FirstBank branch.
The 47-year-old victim told police she had just withdrawn money from the ATM and got into her car when an unknown man came up to her. She told police the robber told her to give him all her money, which she did. The suspect then fled from the scene in an unknown direction.
The victim said she was frightened, so she drove to her home before calling police.
According to the V.I. Territorial Emergency Management Agency incident listing, which is the list of calls made to dispatchers, the robbery was reported 5:21 a.m. Saturday, but Rames said the police report indicates the robbery occurred at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
She said Criminal investigation Bureau Detectives are following up on the case, which has been classified as a first-degree robbery.
