ST. THOMAS - Wyndham St. Thomas Development LLC, the owners of the former Renaissance Grand Beach Resort on St. Thomas, asked for a modification to their Economic Development Commission benefits Wednesday.

The Economic Development Authority board approved the request to change the application; however, the application still is pending and a certificate of EDC benefits has not yet been issued to the company.

Wyndham bought the property for $31 million in 2007, and first applied for EDC benefits at that time.
