Sylvia Agatha Ryan Hyacinth

Services willl be held Friday for Sylvia Agatha Ryan Hyacinth, 88, better known as Ma Sylvia, who died Oct. 29, 2012.

The first viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at John Thomas Memorial Chapel in Contant.

The second viewing is at 9 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Eastern Cemetery in Smith Bay.

She was born March 17,1929, in Dominica. She relocated to St Thomas, where she got married and raised a family.

She is survived by her sons, Simon and Anthony Hyacinth and Jones Celestine; daughters, Irmine Harry, Martina Hyacinth, Joan O'Brian and Rosemary Celestine; one brother, Doland Ryan; 15 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends too mumerous to mention.

Arrangements are by John Thomas Memorial Chapel.
