Winnie Estel Carty

Winnie Estel Carty, 77, better known as Lavina or Winey, formerly of West End, Anguilla, passed

away Dec. 19, 2012, at her daughter's residence in Coral Springs, Fla.

A long-time resident os St. Thomas, Winnie was best known in the community as a newspaper vendor for the Daily News for several years.

She is survived by seven children, David and James Richardson, Clinton, Shervin, Curtis, Clement and Jane Arlette Carty; five grandchildren, Alita and Tishana Richardson, Kadijah Carty and Jaden and Jamez

Stapleton; and three great-grandchildren, Keon James, Jahron Gordon and Keonna Sierra.

A memorial service will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Church of God of Prophecy at No. 20 Gamle Gade, St. Thomas.

Funeral services will be held Jan. 19 in Anguilla.
