Raphael Anson Creque
It is with deep sorrow that the Creque, Martin and Henneman families announce the passing of their beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, Raphael Anson Creque, 45, who died in Atlanta on Jan. 11, 2013.
He was born May 21, 1967.
The first viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Turnbull's Funeral Home. The second viewing will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Memorial Moravian Church, with the service at 10 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Monique Christian Creque; his mother and stepfather, Joyce Henneman Martin and Joel Martin; his father, Roan Creque; father-in-law, John T. Christian Sr.; his children, Riise Creque, Rashad Creque, MeKayla Creque, ReKai Creque, Monet Creque; his stepson, Jama Rhymer; his brother, Royce Creque; his sisters, Jonelle Martin Holmes, Elizabeth Creque Cruse and Sabrina Creque.
Raphael also is survived by his uncles, Myron "Buddy" Henneman, Roy Henneman, Audi Henneman, James Creque Sr. and Chayne Creque; his aunts, Debra Henneman Smith, Lorraine Creque Moolenaar and Cherri Creque Standfield. "Raphie," as he is affectionately known, also is survived by his step-grandmother, Doris Vialet Henneman.
He also is survived by his nieces, Aloni Creque, Amarah Creque, Amalie Creque, Renelda Robles, Anthea Robles, Ebony Robles, J-Camille Creque and Jhada Creque; his nephews, Khalid Gerard and Richard A. Cruse Jr.; his great-nieces, Allani Alfred, Jaidah Creque and Carsynn Mims; his great-nephews, Maddox Robles-Maltie, Mercorie Creque, Antonie Eiland Jr. and Dedric Johnson.
Raphie also is survived by a large contingent of cousins, Marlo Henneman, Mia Trotman Samuel, Ronice Henneman, Shane Henneman, Tiffany A. Trotman, Alani Henneman Todman and Ishamel Todman Jr., Risha and Russell Holmes, Amika Henneman, Ashiel Smith, Akia Henneman, Kariise Donovan Industrious, Camille Smith, Akai Henneman, Margaret Thompson, Vanessa Thompson, Isia Thompson, Vernon James, Kioka Abbott, J'mel Henneman, Akijah Estridge, Ajani Blyden, Kareem Turnquest Jr., Che'velle Peters, Dynique Samuel, Winston Samuel III, Deshea Samuel, Desean Samuel, Derece Samuel, Tyrell Steele, Amaiah Petersen, Tenae Yusuff, Adiyah Petersen, Demari Stanton, Trinity Cristina Henneman, Lucien Moolenaar III, Lavida Creque Etienne, James Creque III, Jacqueline Creque, Raffique Creque, Derek Harrigan, Marlon Creque, Kishawn Creque, Jessica Standfield and Jasmine Standfield.
Raphael also is survived by more members of his family tree, too numerous to mention.
After graduating from Clark Atlanta University with degrees in physics and engineering, Raphael spent his career at the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority, where he worked for 21 years as an electrical engineer. Raphael had a passion for cars, fine art, sports and farming. In his final days, he began to work in the solar panel industry. Raphie's greatest passion was for his family and working with children, both socially (through sports - he coached Little League) and academically. Raphie was a mathematics wizard who loved to teach mathematics. No one will ever forget Raphie's winning smile, his exuberance and his commitment to God and his family. May the Lord open the gates of heaven and welcome him home.
